Can I create a spec template for my projects?

Yes, you bet you can! Your account's Spec Template can be edited by Super Users only. Super Users, look to your "Firm Nav" drop-down in the upper right corner of the screen within the black header bar. Select the "Spec Template" option from the Super User Panel and you land on a page that allows you to customize a spec template and spec notes, following the tabs on the top of the screen.

Spec Templates allow you to set pre-loaded information and custom attributes. Spec Notes allow you to set up pre-loaded category specific instructions typically seen in hospitality design workflows.

You can create new templates typing the name of the template and clicking the create template button. Once the template is created, you can select which project types this template will apply to and which categories you would like to have these customizations apply. You can also create custom categories, if desired.

Once the template is created, any product that you add to your project with the matching product category and project type designation will have these custom options load automatically. Templates are loaded upon adding products to projects, or changing the category of a product within the specification. They operate in this way so any existing specification is not accidentally overwritten.
